We like to be transparent

Quality and sustainability – two attributes that you will always be able to see in the labeling of each of our products! To ensure that you as a retailer meet the highest standards, we have a wide range of certifications for our broad portfolio.

The Blauer Engel is a label that identifies products that are particularly friendly to the environment. All of our plastic products made from recycled materials carry this label.

The FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) label stands for sustainable forestry. Our paper products are sourced from forests that are responsibly managed and that comply with social, economic and environmental standards. This helps us protect forests and promote fair working conditions.

Our tapes are Ingede certified. This means that they are easy to recycle. The certification ensures that the tape is incorporated into the recycling process without affecting the quality of the recycled paper.

The Blue Angel

The Blue Angel has been the federal government’s environmental label for over 40 years. Independent and credible, it sets demanding standards for environmentally friendly products and services.

For our garbage bags and carrier bags we use at least 80 % recycled plastic waste in production. Our goal is to actively contribute to the reduction of waste and to avoid using fossil raw materials.

This means that we can set an example in the production of our rubbish bags and carrier bags and label them with our Blue Angel certification.

FSC® certified carrier bags and waste bags

Vegetable raw materials, especially cellulose, form the basis for our paper carrier bags and rubbish bags. We therefore bear a special responsibility when using these raw materials, which we of course live up to.

Our paper products are made from 100 % renewable raw materials, are CO₂-neutral and biodegradable. Through the independent certification by the FSC^®, we ensure the resource-saving use of the raw material wood.

As confirmation, we have had the FSC^® seal for some time. Incidentally, only certified companies are allowed to label their products with the FSC^® seal.

FSC^® is the most reliable organization for ensuring important environmental and social standards in the forest. With globally valid standards, the unprecedented involvement of all relevant interest groups and the support of well-known companies and recognized independent environmental and social organizations, FSC^® is considered the most credible solution for sustainable forest management.

Annual audits by an accredited FSC^® auditor ensure compliance with FSC^® rules at all times.

Three categories of labels

The 100 % label refers to goods that are made exclusively from wood from FSC® certified forests. For manufacturing reasons, this label is very rare in wood-based materials, cardboard, paper and board materials.

Both FSC® certified forests and/or recycled materials as well as controlled source materials are used in production.

Recycling labels refer to products that only contain recycled material.

EU Ecolabel

The EU Ecolabel is the European Union's official environmental label. It pinpoints merchandise that complies with elevated ecological requirements across its full life cycle, from production to disposal.

We pay close attention to the sourcing and processing of the raw materials used in our packaging papers, ensuring they are obtained and processed in an environmentally friendly manner. Strict requirements regarding emissions, energy consumption, and recyclability apply to production.

We demonstrate this commitment with the EU Ecolabel. Sustainability doesn't end with the material — it starts there.

INGEDE 12

INGEDE 12 is a globally recognized standard for evaluating the deinkability of printed paper during the paper recycling process.

We ensure that our papers and printing processes are designed for recycling. This makes it easy to remove ink and print in the deinking process, which in turn enables high-quality waste paper and a closed material cycle.

Quality and efficiency in paper recycling is actively contributed to by compliance with INGEDE 12.

We make no compromises when it comes
to quality and environmental protection

REACH ensures no harmful chemicals are used in our sanitary products. This is a win-win for the environment and the consumer.

Our plumbing products are DVGW certified. This confirms that our products are suitable for use in drinking water installations and that they meet the highest safety and quality standards. Our agricultural products are DLG certified. Our agricultural products have DLG certification for compliance with strict quality and performance requirements. This ensures a high level of reliability and efficiency in agricultural applications.

We prove that agricultural plastics are recyclable with the ERDE certificate. By doing this, we are helping to reduce agricultural plastic waste. Bureau Veritas and Intertek certify that WBV is in compliance with quality and safety requirements in accordance with social, environmental and ethical standards.
